We are Julien, Eva, and Lilith.

In 2023, the three of us took the huge step of moving from the Netherlands to now live in France. After a long search, we found this fantastic place with two separate houses, buildings, and plenty of land for a couple of horses. And now, we would love to share this beautiful spot with others.

Julien has a deep love for cooking and gastronomy. He participated in the Dutch television shows Who is the Chef? and Topchef in 2010. Today, he takes great pleasure in preparing meals with the exceptional local produce of the region for our table d'hôtes, where he shares his knowledge of regional ingredients and wines.

Eva has a strong background in video and music. She spent many years working as an international DJ before transitioning into film editing and directing. After studying at the Amsterdam Film School, she went on to direct several documentaries.

Lilith, Eva's sister, long dreamed of living abroad — with France as her top choice. With many years of experience in customer relationship management and postgraduate training in coaching and personal development, she has found the perfect setting here. Her love for animals comes to life through equine-assisted coaching sessions using her own horses.

At Le Causse en Quercy, we do our best to respect nature.

During the renovation, we reused as many materials as possible.

For example, the horse stalls were built from materials found on the land and in the barn.

The wood used in the bathroom also comes from the barn, and the cabinet under the sink rests on stones recovered from an old ruin in the meadow.

Besides being fresh and delicious, the local products help us minimize our environmental impact by promoting locally sourced food.
